Five weeks before release, Rockstar did what it always does: no warning, then a trailer. The GTA VI launch trailer went up on Rockstar's channels on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. UK time. Many fans call it "Trailer 3". Rockstar's official name is Launch Trailer.
The short version
- Released: October 15, 2026, on all Rockstar Games channels.
- Length: about 90 seconds.
- Who: Jason and Lucia, in Vice City.
- Song: "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. It will be on the official soundtrack.
- Release date: confirmed again for November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
What is in the trailer
The trailer focuses on the two leads. Jason talks about his time in the army and about having no money, and about how banks do not help people like him. Lucia appears wearing a house-arrest ankle monitor, which fits her backstory from the earlier trailers. In between there are gunfights, car chases and a love scene, all set against Vice City at night and in the sun.
Some sites describe more scenes, such as Lucia jumping from a car onto a plane. Those come from frame-by-frame breakdowns and are not confirmed by Rockstar, so watch it yourself on Rockstar's launch trailer page.
The song
Rockstar trailers are known for their music. Trailer 1 used Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road", Trailer 2 used "Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters. This time it is a brand-new track: "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Note the spelling: some sites write "Flowers", the official title is "Flower".

- November 19: release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Prices and editions are in our GTA 6 price guide. If you play on PC, read what Rockstar has said about a PC version.
Before and after
A launch trailer is a strange thing. It is the last piece of the waiting and already part of the release. After this one, there is nothing left to watch. There is only the game. That is why we call November 19 a cut in time.
