Last Frame

Drop a video, get its last frame as a full-resolution image. Free, nothing is uploaded, no sign-up.

How it works

  1. 01

    Drop a clip

MP4, MOV or WebM. It is read by your browser and never uploaded.

  2. 02

    Pick the frame

The last frame is selected for you. Step back frame by frame if the very end is soft or glitchy.

  3. 03

    Save it

Download a PNG, JPG or WebP at the video's full resolution, or copy it straight to the clipboard.

Continuing an AI video

Image-to-video models (Seedance, Kling, Veo and others) can start a new clip from a picture. Give them the last frame of your previous clip as the start frame and the shot carries on where it stopped. Chain a few and you have a longer scene than any single generation allows.

If the final frame is a little mushy, step back one or two frames and use that. For a seamless loop, use the same image as both the start frame and the end frame of a clip.

Questions

Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is played and drawn by your own browser. Nothing leaves your device, and there is nothing to sign up for.
What resolution do I get?
The video's own resolution, with no scaling. A 1920 × 1080 clip gives a 1920 × 1080 image.
Which files work?
Whatever your browser can play. MP4 (H.264) and WebM work everywhere, MOV usually does. If a file won't open, convert it to MP4 first.
Why is frame stepping a little off on some videos?
Variable frame rate videos have no single frame length. The tool measures the rate while loading and says when it had to assume one.
